Creating a wordpress blog

by Terry Dunn on June 20, 2009

With more than 100 million blogs on the Internet and hundreds more being created every day, blogs are hot! And they are a terrific way to attract traffic and search engine love. But where do you start? Read this article for a comparison of different blog engines before you make any snap decisions.

Most people start with blogger. It’s very easy to use and setup. And you don’t need to worry about hosting or domain names. Best of all – it’s free. But once you’ve got your feet wet and your new publishing empire is taking off, you may be looking for the next step.

Watch this week’s featured video for a short discussion on why you should be blogging with wordpress. Listen to Lisa from 2createawebsite talk about her experience with blogging and wordpress. I chose to share this video with you because I agree with her and there is no ‘technobabble’ from Lisa. She explains it all in a clear and simple way.

And if you’re keen to learn more, the wordpress site will keep you busy for a long time…

Hi. I like the way you write. Will you post some more articles?

Hi Konstantin,

Thanks for the compliment. I learn’t to write by getting lots of practice over many years. And my writing is like my talking style too. Brief, short but to the point. I think that’s how people read these days. They don’t want lots of fluff and puff. Especially on the Internet. And yes, you will see a lot more articles. Coming soon…
