According to Leena Rao, hubpages have launched real-time content feeds. So, now hubpage readers can get real-time content on their favourite topic, delivered to their RSS reader. You may wonder why you need to know. Well, hubpages are a free resource for webmasters and writers to promote their content and get one-way links to their websites. Does anyone read hubpages? Do they ever! Hubpages received 20 million unique visitors in November, growing at 112% a year. There are 621,000 published hubs and 120,000 hubpage authors.

I think the reason hubpages are so popular are the thousands of hubs full of useful and interesting content on just about every topic imaginable. It’s really easy to publish a hub as the site has non-techie tools to help you. Basically, it’s drag and drop, point and click. Today’s video is by Lyrial Zander on how to create and publish a hub for noobs. Hubpages have a large and active community reading hubs and giving comments or feedback. You can even make some money from your hub.

With so much traffic, active readers and a community, you should get some decent traffic back to your website as well as a high-ranking link, as long as you publish a useful hub. Lyrial takes you through the steps. Choose a topic, title, URL and category. The categories are all listed on the home page. Then you work with capsules. These can be text, photo, video, comments or even amazon products. And they are sections you use to build your hubpage. Once it’s built, hit the publish button and your hub is available for those 20 million readers.

So, building hubpages are easy to do and well worth the effort.
