Search engine optimisation can be a complicated subject, or at least, that’s how it appears. But when you break it down step-by-step, it’s really very straightforward. How about straightforward and free? There are some very good SEO primers and beginners guides well worth reading. Here are just a few.
Respected work at home mom and Internet marketer Lynn Terry, recommends the SEO fast start as her SEO guide of choice but is also keen on google best practices by Jerry West, in the SEO guide comparison. SEO fast start is written by Dan Thies and is a free PDF. Dan has been teaching and practicing search engine optimisation for over 10 years.
The google best practices guide will cost you $47. Jerry west is a certified search engine consultant and has been in business longer than I can remember. I like to start with free guides, but I make sure they are from respected practitioners who ‘walk the talk’. You can’t get any more respected than google’s SEO starter guide. Your education should start here. And SEOmoz have a free, in-depth and excellent guide to the whole subject; their beginners guide to search engine optimisation.
But an article on SEO guides would not be complete without talking about Aaron Wall’s SEO book. Although you get plenty of advice and training on Aaron’s free-to-join membership website, if you want the ‘full monty’, you’ll have to upgrade and pay $150 a month. A hefty sum, but the seobook gets rave reviews and is well respected by both peers and customers alike. Learn. Rank. Dominate. That’s his motto.
Isn’t this exactly what you want from SEO training?
