According to Mark Joyner, former CEO of Aesop Corporation and pioneering Internet marketeer, you only really have 3 seconds to make the sale. And the only way to do that is to make your visitor an irresistible offer.

We are all bombarded by advertising and marketing messages in the media and have become resilient to being sold. Neither do we have much time in our busy lives, especially on the Internet where surfers are very impatient.

By presenting an irresistible offer, you grab the readers attention and help him to decide very quickly if he wants to buy. It’s arguably the best way to make your product or service stand out from the competition.

To paraphrase Mark Joyner’s new book, the irresistible offer,

The irresistible offer is so good and so easy to understand that buying from you becomes a no-brainer for your customers. It defines your business and becomes your raison d’etre.

For example, Domino’s Pizza grew from a single store to a $4 billion business by giving their customers an offer they could not refuse; delivery in 30 minutes or less, or the pizza was free.

Mark’s book is a good read. He explains his selling philosophy and uses case studies to show how it works. It’s a new perspective on selling, no-one else is talking about, that’s sure to make an impact.
